Flying in, you arrive at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Thursday afternoon to be greeted and
transported via limousine to pick up your motorcycle or on to our starting resort in Marietta. Take the opportunity to
relax and enjoy the pool or walk the old Town Square of Marietta. You should have time to get in nine holes before
dinner. Fine dining and entertainment are only minutes away. The Resorts own Hamilton's or the Veranda are
outstanding eateries. If you feel like exploring, Atlanta is home to some of the finest restaurants and night clubs in the
country. Most are easily accessible from the resort and worth the time.
Friday, after our pre-ride meeting and breakfast, we will be spending a relaxing day riding through the mountains of
Georgia and North Carolina. Our exploration will traverse approximately 250 miles of some of the finest motorcycling
roads in the eastern United States. Lunch will be at one of our local favorites offering you a selection of southern
specialties. After lunch, we'll climb back in the saddle to continue on through the historic western North Carolina
Mountains. Passing through "The Cradle of Forestry”, famous waterfalls and fabulous scenic overlooks on the Blue
Ridge Parkway en-route to the beautiful grounds of the Biltmore Estate. You will enjoy wonderful shopping, dining and
exploring on this historic estate created for the early 20th century aristocracy. Everything is operated to offer you a
glimpse of the opulence past visitors came to enjoy.
Saturday morning we will have an optional ride to local wineries and explore more of the sights along the Parkway. If you
decide to remain at the resort, recreational opportunities will provide you with a full day of activities. On the grounds you
can enjoy rafting, off- road driving lessons, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, carriage rides, hiking trails or you may
just want to visit the Biltmore Winery and tour George Vanderbilt’s country resort, The Biltmore Estate taking in the
wonderful gardens and shops on-site. Off site you can reserve a Tee time at one of the local championship courses or
visit one of the fine spas to soothe away your aches. Whether you stay or go, Saturday evening will find you enjoying the
great dining experiences awaiting you on or off the Estate. Fine eating in the southern tradition is available in Asheville.
The Downtown section of Asheville is famous for it’s local artists and craft shops. An evening stroll through the shops
and museums is a “can’t miss” event.
Sunday, we say good-bye to our host resort and make our way back to Atlanta. An early morning ride through the cool
mountain air is as refreshing as it gets. During this last leg of our retreat, the route will take in more yet unseen beauty
that is sure to leave a memorable impression on you. We will be passing through historic towns such as Hendersonville,
Brevard, Cashiers and Dillard. A stop at The Dillard House for a country style lunch is a must. Upon returning to
Atlanta, you will be welcomed back at our starting resort. Of course this concludes our group ride but not your retreat.
You have yet another night of luxury and pampering with many great options for dining, dancing or a host of other
entertainment choices. If you are scheduled to depart Monday, we will have your limousine prearranged to transport you
back to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport at your convenience and will assist you in returning your rental motorcycle
if needed.
